Magnolia Shadows is an equestrian resort owned by Andrea Cerefolini, Italian wine maker, dog trainer and horse lover, who has created an ambience to share with anyone who seeks the extraordinary. Andrea has brought his years of experience as a host of his country estate and winery in Italy to now offer to his guests at his peaceful South Carolina home—Magnolia Shadows.
The mission of the National Wild Turkey Federation is the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage. The Winchester Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated to wild turkey restoration, management and hunting. The story unfolds through exciting displays in the 7200 square foot museum, which welcomes more than 10,000 visitors annually. There is also a 100 acre Outdoor Education Center including nature trails, a wetland habitat site and pavilion. Groups can schedule events and activities like archery.
Though primitive camping is available along Lick Fork Lake, there is plenty of drive-in campsites nearby that are convenient to Edgefield.
Pine Ridge is a semi-private, 18-hole championship golf course designed in 1968 by Russell Breeden. The club offers two dining rooms, a bar & grill, swimming pool and pro shop.
Slade Lake is a picturesque and popular fishing lake located in Edgefield. The Ten Governors Rail Trail passes along the picturesque waters.
A part of the 120,000-acre Long Cane Ranger District, you can experience the Sumter National Forest in many ways, like primitive camping, fishing, hunting & hiking.
A .9-mile paved trail along Slade Lake, that also commemorates each of Edgefield's 10 Governors along the way with stone markers. The trail winds around the lake, over quiet streets and neighborhoods, a ball field and a wooden bridge (formerly a railroad trestle). There's also a fishing dock and lighting for evening strolls. The trail begins at Piedmont Technical College on Main Street.
